About “Powering Youth Potential = Powering Rural Development” project in Panagyrurishte
The project “Powering Youth Potential = Powering Rural Development” (2022-1-BG01-KA152-YOU-000065484) is financed under the Erasmus+ program. The project is implemented together with partner organizations from 6 European countries – Bulgaria, Italy, Croatia, Romania, Portugal and Serbia, with the participation of a total of 37 young people between the ages of 18 and 30.
Our overall goal was “To change the mindset of young people from having no future in the rural area they live in, to becoming more motivated, more capable, more knowledgeable and to increase their entrepreneurial initiative so as to create active and prepared young people developing in their small settlements.”By trying to achieve it through:
- – Raising awareness about different channels for job search, applying for a job and conducting an interview – Training – “Applying for a job” course, “Let’s go to work” workshop
- – Increasing knowledge about the key steps to start your own business – Workshop “To work or create a job”, Training – course “How to become an entrepreneur”
- – Obtaining information about the various opportunities for the development of competences throughout life;
- – Acquisition of competences for “survival” and innovation in the field by initiating and presenting real business ideas – Workshop “I am an entrepreneur”, City – game “How young people can change the direction.
- – Directing the thought that investing in yourself and taking (calculated) risks is the greatest strength – Workshop “From an idea – into action”, Workshop “What I learned about myself”;
- – Analyzing and discussing the main problems/events in the EU and how they influence (increase or decrease) the risk of youth unemployment; defining the causes and possible solutions for improving youth employment – Workshop “Youth unemployment”, Workshop “What is it like to live in a rural area”
- – Improving some of the most important soft skills for finding the desired job or creating your own: communication skills, critical thinking, leadership, positive attitude, teamwork, work ethic, self-development, creativity – Ice-breaking session, Erasmus+ dissemination and all other activities. that they have no future in the rural area where they live, to become more motivated, more capable, more knowledgeable and to increase their entrepreneurial initiative so that we create active and prepared young people developing in their small settlements.
