Bridges Across The Danube: Young People For A Common European Future

Consult group and Asociația Tinerii 3D are implementing the project „BRIDGES ACROSS THE DANUBE: YOUNG PEOPLE FOR A COMMON EUROPEAN FUTURE“, № 2025-1-BG01-KA151-YOU-000298124, under the Erasmus+ program.

A cross-border youth exchange is about to take place in Vidin, Bulgaria. It will involve 28 people from Bulgaria and Romania, including participants with fewer opportunities, for whom an accessible, supportive and non-discriminatory environment will be created. Topics such as international cooperation, European values, youth participation, intercultural dialogue and development of Danube communities will be addressed.

Vidin was chosen as a mobility location because of its Danube and border context. The city will be used as a real learning environment for conversations about local development, European connectivity, youth participation and Bulgarian-Romanian cooperation.

Among the expected results are the creation of a youth network for cross-border cooperation between Bulgaria and Romania and an electronic resource “Young European Ambassador’s Handbook”, which will collect ideas, good practices, practical tools and messages from participants to other young people.
