Kick-Off Meeting of the “Safe & Sound” Erasmus+ Project Held in Spain

16-05-2025

rom April 10–12, 2025, the kick-off meeting of the Erasmus+ KA210 small-scale partnership project “Safe & Sound – Enhancing Youth Knowledge on Sexual Health and Diversity” was successfully held in A Guarda, Spain. The meeting was hosted by our Spanish partner, FOCO – Asociación para la Formación y Cooperación en Europa, and marked the official start of the project’s implementation phase.

The event brought together all three partner organizations:

  • FOCO (Spain) – the local host and coordinator of the kick-off meeting
  • Asociația Tinerii 3D (Romania) – project coordinator
  • MIG Panagyurishte, Strelcha, Lesichovo (Bulgaria)

During the three-day meeting, participants aligned on the project’s strategic direction, reviewed the objectives and key deliverables, and discussed the structure of the main activities: national questionnaires, a series of educational workshops, the development of video materials and brochures, and dissemination initiatives targeting young people aged 13–18 in rural areas.

This initial meeting also provided space for team-building and the exchange of best practices on sexual education and inclusion, ensuring a common understanding of the project’s mission across all partners. Key topics included effective youth outreach, non-formal educational methodologies, and how to adapt content for diverse local contexts.

The Safe & Sound project aims to promote sexual health awareness and inclusion of sexual minorities among teenagers, especially those with fewer opportunities, and to equip youth workers with the necessary tools and strategies to address these topics in a sensitive, inclusive, and impactful way.

We are excited to embark on this journey and look forward to creating meaningful change together. Stay tuned for upcoming updates and opportunities to get involved!
