Launch of Erasmus+ Project: “Safe and Sound – Enhancing Youth Knowledge on Sexual Health and Diversity”

21-03-2025

Craiova, Romania – March 2025

Asociația Tinerii 3D, together with its partners from Bulgaria and Spain, is proud to announce the launch of a new Erasmus+ project titled “Safe and Sound: Enhancing Youth Knowledge on Sexual Health and Diversity.” The project, co-funded by the European Union, will run from 1 March 2025 to 31 May 2026 and has been awarded a total budget of €60,000.

The initiative brings together three dedicated organizations:

  • Tinerii 3D (Romania)
  • MIG “Panagyurishte, Strelcha, Lesichovo” (Bulgaria)
  • FOCO – Asociación para la Formación y Cooperación en Europa (Spain)

The primary goal of the project is to empower young people aged 13 to 18 with accurate, inclusive, and engaging information about sexual protection, diversity, and the acceptance of sexual minorities.

Key Objectives:

  • Reach 1,500 youth in local communities from Romania, Spain, and Bulgaria with essential information on sexual health and inclusion over a 15-month period.
  • Conduct 15 interactive workshops with 100 selected participants to explore sexual protection, sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), and human rights.
  • Develop and distribute a brochure and three educational videos in four languages (English, Romanian, Bulgarian, and Spanish), aiming to inform another 1,500 young people.
  • Enhance the knowledge and skills of at least 12 youth workers and volunteers from the three partner NGOs through continuous learning and collaboration.

This project responds to the growing need for inclusive and scientifically accurate sexual education, particularly among young people from under-informed communities. It also fosters tolerance, respect, and acceptance of all sexual identities and orientations.

As the project begins its journey, the three partner organizations are enthusiastic about collaborating closely to ensure that young people feel safe, informed, and empowered to make healthy choices for their bodies and relationships.
