The Activities

Kick-off Meeting in A Guarda, Spain 🇪🇸

The Safe & Sound project officially launched with a kick-off meeting held in A Guarda, Spain, hosted by our Spanish partner, FOCO. Representatives from all three partner organizations—FOCO (Spain), Asociația Tinerii 3D (Romania), and MIG (Bulgaria)—gathered to align visions, define roles, and structure the first steps of the project. The meeting provided a valuable opportunity to strengthen collaboration, clarify the implementation plan, and ensure a shared understanding of our mission: to improve sexual health education and promote inclusion among youth across Europe. The days spent in A Guarda set a solid foundation for the work ahead and confirmed our collective commitment to empowering young people with the knowledge and tools they need.

Youth Voices Matter – Our Sexual Education Questionnaire 🇪🇺

As part of the Safe & Sound – Enhancing Youth Knowledge on Sexual Health and Diversity project, our teams developed a cross-national questionnaire designed to explore the opinions, needs, and realities of young people regarding sexual education in Romania, Spain, and Bulgaria.

You can access here the National Questioners Forms:

This tool aimed to capture the voices of youth—especially those from rural and underrepresented communities—on topics such as access to information, taboos, emotional well-being, and diversity. The results not only guided the content of our educational workshops but will also contribute to building more inclusive and relevant learning materials that reflect the actual concerns of today’s teenagers. Your voice matters—and will shape real change.

You can now see the full interpretation of the results that we got trough the National Questioners Form. Here you have the 3 results:

Youth Workshops: Safe Spaces for Dialogue and Learning 🇧🇬 🇷🇴 🇪🇸

As a key component of the project, we are organizing a series of national workshops in Romania, Spain, and Bulgaria. These workshops are designed as safe and inclusive spaces where young people can explore topics related to sexual education, diversity, identity, and their fundamental rights.

Each session is facilitated using non-formal education methods that encourage open dialogue, reflection, and active participation. Based on the results of the national questionnaires, the workshops are adapted to the realities and needs of youth—especially those from rural or underserved communities. Through interactive activities, storytelling, and peer discussions, participants not only learn but also contribute to shaping a healthier, more informed and inclusive generation.

The workshops are more than learning moments—they are steps toward empowerment and change.

Evaluation Meeting in Sofia, Bulgaria 🇧🇬

Between 2–4 May 2026, the partners of the “Safe and Sound” project met in Sofia, Bulgaria, for the final evaluation meeting. The activity aimed to analyze the progress of the project, evaluate the results achieved and coordinate the last stages of implementation.

During the meeting, the partners discussed the impact of the activities carried out so far and established the final steps for the closure of the project, including the organization of conferences and multiplier events. The meeting contributed to better alignment between the organizations and to ensuring that all activities will be successfully completed by the end of May 2026.

The Informative Videos

As part of the project, a series of educational videos was developed to support young people’s access to reliable, clear, and inclusive information about sexual health and diversity.

The videos address key topics identified through the project’s needs analysis and youth questionnaires, including:

  • sexual protection and responsible decision-making;

  • sexually transmitted infections (STIs): transmission, prevention, testing, and treatment;

  • inclusivity, respect, and acceptance of sexual minorities.

Each video was created using a youth-friendly, non-judgmental approach, aiming to reduce stigma, encourage open dialogue, and promote informed choices related to health, relationships, and well-being. The materials are designed to be accessible, easy to understand, and adaptable for use in non-formal education activities, workshops, and online dissemination.

Subtitles are available in the partner languages (Romanian, Bulgarian, Spanish, Galician and English), ensuring wider accessibility and outreach across different national contexts.
